AGM 2020

Naomi Cornish NTET News Item

The General Council has taken the decision to hold the 2020 Annual General Meeting virtually on Saturday 21st November 2020, at 2:30 pm. The meeting at Swindon, therefore, as been postponed and re-booked for next year.

In order to comply with the law we need to hold an AGM to fulfil the relevant legal requirements, thus the format of the AGM will reflect this.

Although members will be unable to attend in person, members’ views remain of utmost important to us. Therefore, all members are encouraged to exercise their votes by submitting their proxy forms either electronically or by post. Further updates about this will be posted on the website and in the AGM Booklet.

Members may also submit questions that they would have raised at the AGM, and this can be done by emailing the General Secretary, Naomi Cornish, via general.secretary@ntet.co.uk – all questions and answers will be published on the website after the meeting.

Under Article 16 of the Trust’s Articles of Association, items for discussion must reach the General Secretary by Saturday 10th October in order that they can be included and published in the Agenda.

General Council members retiring by rotation after their terms of office are Charlie Cribbes, Andy Rimell, Kathy Smith and Mark Waite. All are standing for re-election.

If you are interested in joining the General Council, a nomination form can be downloaded here. You can also find it in the Summer issue of Steaming. Forms must be returned to the General Secretary by Wednesday 16th September either by post or email. Please make sure you include a brief profile of approximately 150 words outlining yourself and your interests.
