The countdown has begun! The Steam Apprentice Club (SAC) has officially opened nominations for the 2025 SAC Awards, celebrating the achievements, enthusiasm and creativity of young people and organisations across the world of steam.

This year’s awards recognise outstanding contributions in four categories:

• Apprentice of the Year – for individuals showing exceptional passion and progress in the world of steam.
• Tech Achievement Award – recognising innovation, engineering skill or problem-solving flair.
• Volunteer of the Year – for apprentices who have given their time and energy to other steam organisations.
• Organisation Supporting the SAC – celebrating those who help nurture the next generation of steam enthusiasts.

Entries are open now and will close on 31 October 2025, with the winners announced at the NTET AGM on 15 November 2025.

SAC Chairman Paul Stingmore said: “The SAC Awards are an important part of the SAC calendar. They showcase the incredible energy, skill and dedication of our young members and the organisations that support them. Every entry tells a story of passion for steam and we can’t wait to celebrate those stories at the AGM.”
