National Traction Engine Trust
The National Traction Engine Trust is the Parent of the Steam Apprentice Club. Established in 1954 it has around 3,000 members in over 20 countries world wide. The NTET is held in high esteem and is the umbrella organisation for the Steam Traction movement with affiliations held by over 30 organisations in the UK and world wide including the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, the Road Locomotive Society, the Road Roller Association and many regional Clubs and Associations.

Road Locomotive Society
Founded in 1937, the Society's objectives are: The enhancement of education and research into the past history of all types of self propelling steam engines (other than those running on rails) and those types of stationary steam engines known as portable engines.
Road Roller Association
The Road Roller Association (RRA) was formed in 1974 by a handful of dedicated enthusiasts and now has over 500 members. One of the prime objectives of the RRA is to encourage the preservation of Rollers, both Steam and Motor, and other road making equipment used by road making gangs.
Sentinel Drivers Club
The Sentinel Drivers Club is solely a voluntary run club, consisting of Sentinel owners, drivers, firemen/women, helpers and most importantly enthusiasts of anything Sentinel. We as a Club can boast an internationally based membership with global recognition.
Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs
The FBHVC is a grouping of almost 500 Clubs and Museums together with some 1500 Trade and Individual Supporters. The aim of the Federation is to uphold the freedom to use old vehicles on the roads without any undue restriction and to support its member organisations in whatever way it can.
The Transport Trust
The Transport Trust is the only national charity established to promote and encourage the preservation and restoration of Britain's unique transport heritage in all its forms - by air, road and water.

Local Clubs
Bedford Steam Engine Preservation Society
The BSEPS was formed on 27th February 1956 by a few stalwart steam enthusiasts which has grown over the years into one of the largest preservation societies in the country. BSEPS runs their Steam Rally at Old Warden in Bedfordshire during September each year.
West of England Steam Engine Society
WESES are dedicated to the preservation of steam engines of all shapes and sizes, their rally is probably the biggest rally in cornwall, 2009 year is their 54th anniversary, and anybody is welcome to come along.
East Anglian Traction Engine Society
EATES was founded in 1955, to advance the education of the public and to promote the preservation and running of all types of steam traction engine: portables, showman's and ploughing engines, road locos, steam rollers and steam wagons.
North Staffs and Cheshire Traction Engine Club
NSCTEC is based at Klondyke Mill, Draycoss in the Clay in Staffordshire. The club was formed in 1958 and has open days and runs several steam parties throughout the year.
The Lancashire Traction Engine Club
The Lancashire Traction Engine Club was founded in 1965. The objects of the Club include advancing the education of the public by increasing and maintaining interest in historic steam and other mechanically propelled vehicles, other historic machinery and historic crafts and craftsmanship.
The Sussex Steam Engine Club
The Sussex Steam Engine Club was created in 1993 by a small group of locally based enthusiasts. Their belief was that Engine Owners, Operators and supporters would welcome the opportunity to promote their interest in Steam preservation. The club now has nearly 200 Members.
The Hertfordshire Steam Engine Preservation Society
The Hertfordshire Steam Engine Preservation Society was formed in the mid 1960's, by a few like minded enthusiasts to promote steam preservation in the area by running steam rallies and regular club nights for friend's to meet and discuss steam.
The Somerset Traction Engine Club
The Club was originally formed some 50 years ago in order to give its members the opportunity to meet other people with similar interests, to maintain the interests of members in the activities of the Club, and to promote rallies and social activities.

It is almost fifty years since the Scottish Traction Engine Society was founded in 1961.
Celtic Steamers
Celtic Steamers was founded in 2001 by steam enthusiasts throughout Ireland. We formed a committee and with an aim to raise donations for various charities throughout Ireland.
Hockley Heath Steam Association
We are a small club which owns its own steam roller, a Fowler type T3, works number 21629. The Association was formed in the mid 1960s by the late Jack Marshall who lived in Hockley Heath.
Leeds and District Traction Engine Club
The Club, founded in 1963, in the early days of the preservation movement and attracts a membership not only from proud owners of traction engines and road rollers, but also from experts of the Vintage Fairground, and generally from all those who are attracted to these things and would like to learn more.

Great Dorset Steam Fair
If you are looking for an excellent fun and action packed day out for all the family, you'll love the Great Dorset Steam Fair. Traditionally this English fair is held at the village of Tarrant Hinton, near Blandford Forum in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside.
County of Salop Steam Engone Society
An entertaining and fun-packed family day out is promised with hundreds of vehicles and over 1,000 exhibits. Last years event attracted around 14,000 visitors and at this year's Rally some different steam traction engines will be making their debut.
