2023 AGM

The AGM of the National Traction Engine Trust will be held at 2.30pm on Saturday 18th November at the Golden Lion Hotel, 114 High St, Northallerton DL7 8PP.

Registration for joining the AGM via Zoom is now open.

The Meeting

Formal notice of the meeting, along with the Agenda, Reports & Accounts, together with the names of those
standing for election and a voting form, has been distributed with the Autumn issue of Steaming.

There will be no ‘live’ online voting although attendees in the meeting itself are able to vote on the day.

Members are encouraged to exercise their votes by submitting their ballot forms either electronically or by post in advance of the meeting. The results will be announced during the AGM. A voting form is published in the AGM Booklet. If submitting by email, please use the form and scan it as an attachment. Please return it by Wednesday 16th November via the postal address stated in the booklet, or email it to: general.secretary@ntet.co.uk

The Election

Rob Clifford-Wing seeks re-election as Chairman
Louise Maunder, Kathy Smith and Mark Waite retire by rotation and offer themselves for re-election
. Andy Rimmell and Charlie Cribbes do not offer themselves for re-election.

Additionally the following nominations to the General Council have been received:
● Charlotte Garbett – Proposer: Peter Cauley, Seconder: Bob Moorman
● John Wye – Proposer: Rob Clifford-Wing, Seconder: David Smith

 

AGM VISITS

Saturday 18th November
John and Sue Smith at Dalton Cottage Farm, lslebeck, Thirsk, YO7 3BW.

The location is to be found off the A19 south of Thirsk.
Look for NTET signs for the last part of the journey.
There is a wide variety of vintage equipment there plus at least four engines not widely seen outside the county.
They have kindly agreed to provide some refreshments and welcome visitors from 10am onwards.

Sunday 19th November
THE PRESTON COLLECION
Enterpen Farm, Hutton Rudby, TS15 0EJ.

Visitors will be welcome from 10am.
There is an impressive display of engines, vehicles, organs and many items of interest. Again our hosts will be providing some Yorkshire hospitality as well as the entertainment.
