The National Traction Engine Trust (NTET) and the Steam Apprentice Club (SAC) are proud to unveil a packed programme of steam events for 2025 – offering something for everyone, from veteran enthusiasts to families discovering the magic of steam for the first time.
This year’s line-up features some of the country’s most iconic and beloved rallies, where heritage traction engines, vintage machinery and traditional entertainment come together in unforgettable displays of engineering and community spirit.
Upcoming highlights include:
- The Saffron Walden Crank Up (26–27 April, Saffron Walden, Essex)
- Stotfold Mill Steam Fair & Country Show (10–11 May, Herts)
- Little Vintage Show (10–11 May, Gloustershire)
- Strumpshaw Steam Rally (24–26 May, Norfolk)
- Launceston Steam & Vintage Rally (24–26 May, Cornwall)
Whether you want to marvel at full-size engines in steam, explore rows of miniatures, or get involved through our Steam Apprentice Club’s youth-focused activities, these events offer an authentic experience that blends history, learning and fun.
Rob Wing, Chair of the NTET, said: “These events are the lifeblood of our community – each one a celebration of heritage, craftsmanship and enthusiasm. There’s nothing like the sight and sound of steam engines in motion, and we’re proud to help keep that spirit alive across the country.”
Paul Stingmore, Chair of SAC, added: “Our rallies offer young people a hands-on way to experience the world of steam. They’re inspiring, inclusive and, most of all, great fun.”
More events will be added as the year progresses – so please visit the events page on our website. We look forward to seeing you at one or more of our events in 2025!
