NTET AGM 2026: make a weekend of it

This year’s NTET AGM promises far more than the meeting itself. Join us in Dorset for a full weekend of engines, demonstrations, heritage and good company.

Saturday 14 November

The AGM begins at 2.00pm in The Engine Shed at Matt Farwell’s yard:

Higher Barn
Bushes Road
Stourpaine
Dorset
DT11 8SY

Before the AGM and trophy presentations, all the resident engines at Matt’s yard will be in steam, joined by several visiting engines. There will also be demonstrations throughout the day and a selection of working miniatures across different scales.

Would you like to bring an engine? Please contact Keith Reynolds, the Editor of Steaming or Matt directly.

Annual dinner

The annual dinner takes place on Saturday evening at the Crown Hotel, Blandford.

Booking details and meal choices appear on page 11 of this issue of Steaming. Rooms are available now. Call 01258 456626 and quote NTET dinner to receive the special rate.

Sunday 15 November

The weekend continues with a visit to Mark Farwell’s private collection and museum at Downend Farm, Bushes Road, Stourpaine, Dorset, DT11 8SY.
