Steam-It Sunday is an annual event encouraging members of our hobby to promote Steam on the road in its various forms, through a series of improvised and essentially free events organised at grass roots and local level, just as it was done in the early days of the road going steam movement.
This year we have re-named Steam-It Sunday to Steam-It Seventy, to mark the 70th year of the National Traction Engine Trust. Whilst we are planning our next major celebration to be for our 75th annivarsary in 2029, we thought this would be a great opportunity to mark our 70th anniversary.
Always the first Sunday in October, we encourage everyone to have a steam-up, whether it be a full size engine, a miniature or a Mamod, and post the photos on Social Media. Don’t forget to tag @steamitseventy and @steamitsunday
